The United States has Bombed Nearly Every Continent on the Planet Except Antarctica, and Australia. Yet it Simultaneously Fights A War on Terror?

The American psyche experienced trauma after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks that rocked the nation. Just under 3,000 American civilians died that day, and to this day there are still more questions than answers to what really happened.

In response, the United States government under the Bush Regime, quickly launched the infamous “War on Terror,” which resulted in a total of 4 countries being attacked, and if some reports are correct about a 2006 bombing in the Philippines, the number rises to 5. Not surprisingly the election of Barack Obama didn’t slow down the war, in fact it actually increased it. The Obama administration has laid siege to 7 countries, and possibly 8 if once again, a 2012 incident reported by some was true about drone strikes in the Philippine’s just as Bush did.

Not only did the Nobel Peace Prize President out bomb the Bush bomb-squad, he did so with no remorse and Hitlerian fashion such as his drone bombing of a wedding in 2013 in Yemen, killing 17. Since 2001, the United States has bombed at least 8 weddings. (A statistic that seems almost cartoonish.)

In total, numbers range from 20 million all the way up to 30 million dead by the hands of the U.S. war machine. A war machine that has spent $1.6 trillion dollars since 2001, to fight so-called terrorism. Ironic considering the number of innocents killed by the U.S. dwarfs the number of civilians killed by terrorism. In Iraq alone, it has been estimated that between 2003 and 2013, 112,000-123,000 civilians died in Iraq alone. One estimate done by ORB international suggests over 1 million Iraq’s have been killed.06.0721.WhyWeFight_SoldiersRunning_531x329

Without going too deep into numbers, using charts calculating the defense budget annually, and using $350b a year on average for a defense budget, the United States has spent (being generously conservative) at least $2,625,000,000,000.00 on war or defense since 1940. Amazingly, that leaves out black budgets and covert operations which are not necessarily synonymous.

The question the American people must ask themselves is,”who are really the terrorists?”

Looking through the lenses of foreign countries it would appear that the United States is the supreme bully, serial killer and conqueror of nations unlike anything the world has ever seen. With more than 800 military bases in over 140 countries around the world, and a defense budget larger than the 10 next largest nations’ defense budgets combined, we start to see a better picture.

The War on Terror has been an unwinnable war since it started. Not only was it unwinnable, it was a war being fought with an enemy created by the U.S. itself, as noted by one of the men who helped create al-Qaeda, Zbigniew Brzezinski in a 1998 interview with Le Novel Observateur: According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan on 24 December 1979. But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise. Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul. And that very day, I wrote a note to the President in which I explained to him that in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention.”War-USA-400x293

As I reported on Memorial Day, the United States knows war better than any country on earth. The American people are largely unaware of this reality due to constantly being pacified by the American Corporate Media.

Between the Military Industrial Complex, President and 5 Star Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower warned about, and the Mainstream Media which derails truth, discredits whistleblowers, and persecutes the outspoken, we can only expect more of the same. With a public paralyzed by Mass Stockholm Syndrome, and a general unawareness of reality, mustering up a formidable response to call for an end of the madness is unlikely.

The American Empire will continue to grow and grow, until history rears its ugly head and repeats itself. Only this time it won’t be the United States policing the world, it will be the world policing the United States.
