(UPDATE) – Join the Twitter storm tonight – Hashtag #legalizelemonade –Facebook Group for Twitter Storm

Permits. Similar to licenses, they grant you permission to do something that would otherwise be illegal. The State, being the almighty God’s that they are, grant you special permission with a fancy piece of paper. Of course that is if, and only if, you give them money first. It’s as if the act of handing over fiat currency (that isn’t even worth the paper it’s printed on) is the only way to get a permit, which in turn suddenly makes the lemonade stand acceptable. Do you follow me?

In other words, young or old it doesn’t matter. If you squeeze lemons into a cup and wish to exchange your delectable homemade liquid for federal reserve notes, you must first give the mafia their tribute before you pass go and collect $200.

Or in the case of these two little girls, $100.

8 and 9 year old Andria and Zoey Green were hoping to raise the money so they could take their father to Splash Kingdom for Father’s Day. This criminal act was so, because these awful little runs (clearly sarcasm) did not first pay our overlords.

Police in Overton, Texas showed up with the towns code enforcer and shut the illegal operation down.

More and more these terrifying lemonade stands keep popping up all over the country. Usually, the head of these criminal enterprises are young girls sporting dresses, which clearly threaten the public and put the citizens in danger. It wouldn’t be so bad if they would have just went and paid for a permit. Then, they would  not be considered scary criminals dealing illegal lemonade out on the block.

Residents wish to remain anonymous, said they feel much safer now that police came in and shut down the extremist entrepreneurs.

Note: this article is a satirical report on events that really happened, in order to show the ridiculous actions of police and “state code enforcement.”
