UPDATE: An all clear has been given.
The Washington Navy yard is currently on lock down after reports of a shooting inside. No reports as of yet if there are injuries or deaths.
Police, the FBI and Fire Department paramedics responded. Nearby roads were closed. Workers at the Navy Yard were told to stay where they were.
In September 2013, Aaron Alexis, a Navy veteran, opened fire in an office building at the Navy Yard, killing 12 people and paralyzing the capital before he was taken out in a gunfight with authorities.
