For many years now the alternative media, myself included, have been jumping up and down trying to get the attention of our fellow man in regards to the mainstream media’s constant control of news. Luckily over the past several years, and more so due to the revolution of the internet and alternative media itself, people have begun noticing that the corporate media plays a very important role in making sure people are spoon fed information.

News stories are hand picked at the top of the largest conglomerates depending on what happens that best fits “their” agenda, and from there the stories are talked about day in and day out, nonstop until the viewer can repeat the story back to you word for word, even if the version they were given was not actually how the event played out in the first place.

A blatant and clear example of how the media handles big news stories can be seen when we examine the events of the past two weeks.

Over the last two weeks, there have been not one, not two, but THREE “mass shootings” here in the United States. However with that said, I am willing to bet you only heard about TWO.

The first of course was the shooting at the Planned Parenthood Center in Colorado. This story made headline news of course due to the nature of the crime, but also for more not so subtle reasons than that alone. Nonetheless it really became a national daily news story due to the fact that the Agenda is to take away 2nd Amendment rights of Americans, and equate crazy gun owners with people who wish to do harm to Planned parenthood or anyone who supports it.

The second of course is the much more recent Mass shooting which quickly developed into an “active shooter” situation, and was further equipped with a whole series of buzzwords used over and over again to captivate, program, and passify the viewer into suggestive thought. Words and phrases like active shooter, domestic terrorism, and assault weapons, are all used dozens upon dozens of times.

To go even further, we can see an even bigger picture unfold, which is mostly because we have 3 separate incidents that were all “mass shootings” with a high number either killed, injured, or both, all within just days of each other. We have a clear and perfect example of blatant control of information and news, where the media decides what the public gets to digest.

The third and final mass shooting which you heard nothing about happened on November 22, 2015 in the 9th Ward in New Orleans, Louisiana. The shooting occurred at a party in the Bunny Friend Park and left 17 people injured out of a crowd of hundreds, more than 70 bullet casings littered on the ground, and blood everywhere. The main suspect has been identified as Joseph “Moe” Allen, and officials say that more than half of the attendee’s were children, and nobody there was over 30 — making all of the victims of the shooting children or young adults

Even so, the mainstream media basically completely ignored this incident. Why?

Allen, according to Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office records, is a convicted felon and has been charged with home invasion, carjacking, illegal carrying of weapon and possession of cocaine and heroin. In 2002, he was arrested with Travis Scott, who recently pleaded guilty to a federal racketeering charge. Scott’s younger brothers, Akein “Keemy” Scott and Shawn “Shizzle” Scott, have pleaded guilty to numerous charges related to the 2013 Mother’s Day shooting in which they opened fire into a second line crowd, leaving 20 people injured.

As mentioned, the incident happened in the N.O’s 9th Ward, a largely impoverished area with a large population of black residents. the incident can be seen as what some call “black on black” violence, which leaves no room for a media storm due to the fact that this type of incident doesn’t fit “their” agenda. Not to mention, as seen above, the suspect is a violent convicted felon who possessed a gun even though as a felon and due to the “magic”of law and gun restrictions, he shouldn’t have had.

With all of this it is easy to see how the media picks and chooses what to cover, and what not to cover. Is the Bunny Friend shooting any less important than the Planned Parenthood and San Bernadino shootings? Why is it that people are not outraged at the deafening silence by the media, and even the President himself?

“A movement is either organized or unorganized. That is not to say it must be centralized. That is a misrepresentation of a movement in the sense that society has defined what a movement is or should be, wrapped it up with a bow, and inserted it into a fixed apparatus. Again this sort of predetermination is the antagonist of free thought and a free individual, and the antithesis of true liberty.”

We have been approaching a cross-road in America for some time now. Not everyone recognizes it because, a large portion of society is still well insulated and secured in their bubble. A bubble of ignorance, whether it is chosen or due to a lack of information.

For the first time ever, society has transformed into a population of informed people young and old, as those who lack technological know-how, such as not understanding the Internet or social media, are reaching old age, thus having [little to] no effect on society. The majority of Americans, including children even as young as four or five years old, have the know-how to use smart technology and have information at their fingertips. Therefore ignorance is now a choice, and that choice in regards to how our society is affected by authority, is actually a threat to those who wish to live peacefully.

376373_NYThe corner of society that is painfully aware of the tyranny we face, like increasing abuses by the police, privacy intrusions of the NSA, a purposely collapsed monetary system run by private bankers, corporate control of the media, the justice system, and even war itself, must address a question.1508148_10152493418172796_2113861892_n

A question some wish to ignore completely, less print it or type it on a computer that is connected to the very internet that is wiretapped. This is due to fear and rightfully so, as free speech is seemingly just a distant memory discussed in front of a campfire on a Friday night.

The question? (Switch to private connection.(more…)

This disturbing Infographic details the steady and rapid increase of our  prison population.

We don’t just have the world’s largest prison population per capita, we blow every other country out of the water. Amazing isn’t it? Amazing we as Americans are told constantly we are the most free, mos advanced, and most civilized society. Lady liberty, oh miss high-and-mighty!

Oddly enough, China, a country ruled and looked at as mostly Authoritarian takes 7th place in the world in incarceration rate. Which of course makes you wonder, what the hell is going on in America? Are we just a society of misfits, rabble-rousers, and outright criminals? Or, is it something else?

The answer may surprise you. (more…)

The first Friday of June every year is a special day. It is a day of giving for some, and for others it is a day of receiving. It is also a day that you can make a difference by one simple act of kindness.

What exactly am I talking about? National Donut Day.

All across America today donut shops of all sizes including Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme’s, and your favorite local donut shop’s will be handing out delicious treats, and you don’t need to spend those hard earned Federal Reserve Notes either.images

Make National Donut Day one to remember. We can all be equally satisfied with these finger licking goods, but what if I told you even more good can come of this? (more…)

akon-un

June 4, 2015

While Akon is not too busy lighting up the stage, the American Hip Hop artist sheds some new light on a new initiative, “Akon Lighting Africa.” Located in Bamako, Mali, the Solar Academy will help African engineers and entrepreneurs develop skills that will enable them to produce solar power.

The plan, is to set up a training program to help develop the skills engineers and entrepreneurs need to maintain micro grids and solar-powered electricity systems, which will fill a huge gap that sees about 550 million people in Africa without power, according to the World Bank. The initiative could give an estimated 600 million people power, as some of these areas enjoy 320 days of sun per year.

Although, this is not a charity. Akon acknowledged that this is a huge business opportunity and business is “wide open,” in Africa. Rightfully so, because giving the business monopoly of power to each individual state seems to always keep people in the dark, even while the technology is widely, and even cheaply available. (more…)
